SILENT AUCTION & OPENING RECEPTION

What does your idea of hope look like? The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum is partnering with the Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, that is the leading national organization for breast cancer awareness on a silent auction that will take place the evening of October 24, 2013 at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum. This event is a fundraiser, and all proceeds from sales will benefit the Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen and RAM's educational programs. This event is open to RAM members and the general public.
This invitational will represent artists of all ages, backgrounds, artistic ability, and will feature all media including oil on canvas, photography, and works on paper. All works in the exhibition represent an interpretation of the artist's idea of hope which is further described in accompanying texts. Sold and unsold works will remain on view through November 17, 2013.
The Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen ® is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization that provides breast care services, awareness and education of breast cancer in the eight county service area in NW Arkansas: Benton, Boone, Carroll, Crawford, Madison, Newton, Sebastian and Washington along with Stone & Taney counties in Missouri. Up to 75% of funds raised are annually granted back into local communities to provide breast care services in this service area while 25% will go to Komen National for research to help find the cures to end breast cancer.
